The affordability of housing for
residents of King City and Monterey County is a central focus to Mills
Ranch. This is reflected in the compact design of the community and mix
of housing types. Fifteen percent (15%) of the 400 homes will be deed
restricted "affordable" homes for very low, low and moderate
income levels based on County/City average incomes. The affordable homes
will be a mix of rental and for-sale product mixed throughout the community.
Considerable attention will be given to a seamless integration of the
homes so that peoples' income will not be distinguishable by the homes
that they live in.
