“With deep family ties in building and construction, you could say I was “born to build.” My personal interest is creating high quality communities that respect our environment and natural resources, our neighbors, and our end users."

Bridgit Koller recently joined Urban Community Partners as Director of Development. With over 20 years of experience in the development industry, Ms. Koller’s experience includes: Corporate management in a fortune 500 company,  complex entitlements, government and neighbor negotiations, community planning, project management, engineering design and survey, construction management, and financial management for both commercial and residential projects of small and large scale.

Establishing a professional career in a private full service Civil Engineering/Survey firm providing design and construction services, she worked on a large range of projects including civic, commercial and residential. Involvement in political planning occurred due to concern over a poorly planned freeway with significant negative impacts to existing neighborhoods. This lead to placement on several policy making boards and ultimately inspired Ms. Koller to make the transition from engineering to planning.

The majority of Ms. Koller's planning experience has been with public homebuilders; initially targeting first time “homes for the people,” later switching to high-end semi-custom homes. Her final transition was to a private move up builder who later became public.  Ultimately becoming Vice-President of Forward Planning, Project Management, and Architecture; managing over 30 Multi-family/Podium (60%) and SFD (40%) projects in various states of entitlement and development, with a department budget of over $300 M within the nine Bay Area Counties and the Central Valley. She has personally worked on complex entitlements in numerous jurisdictions, and managed, coached, and mentored the same. The primary focus has been on infill and redevelopment, but has also included Brownfield, Superfund, & Greenfield projects.

Ms. Koller graduated with a BA in Art History from University of California, Santa Cruz and is currently a member of the Northern California Home Builders Association. Past board memberships include: VP of Governmental Affairs NCHBA, Women's Council NCHBA, two Alameda County transportations boards (Expenditure Plan Development Committee and Measure B Neighborhood Advocacy Program), and South Bay Engineers Club.
